Yes it is is too early to panic, but there are cracks in the armor.

Many guys on last years team had career years. If the revert back to more historic numbers, with that defensive core, it will be challenging to achieve playoff's let alone a repeat division title.

End of the day it is much easier to play a game when there is no expectations, lots of expectations on the Knights this year.

Not sure whether they were in the Karlsson sweepstakes, but I am thinking he would have filled a bigger void than what Patches does.

NHL Radio mentioned that to make playoffs you need to be about 12 games over .500

Vegas the rest of the way will need to be what 16 or 17 games over .500.
Lose on Saturday it moves up to 17 or 18. It is doable , but just adds pressure to situation.

The problem is every team is taking Vegas seriously this year. Vegas skated around teams for the first 1/4 of the season or so because they assumed the Knights were like every other expansion team. It's still doable but it's going to be harder this year.

Dark times ahead for the Knights I’m afraid !! It was a one off anomaly in professional sports. I doubt we will ever see the success they had last year with a first year team in any of the major sports leagues !!

Vegas will be fortunate to amass 85 pts this season

They actually out played the Pens and definitely played well enough to win. The Pens "will" stretch pass if the opportunity presents itself, but they're more about quick transition in general and controlled zone entries. That was just them being opportunistic and DeSmith standing on his head.

WOW, FLOWEEEEER!

Immediately after the game was over i went back to look at the 2nd insane save he made on Giroux with about 40 seconds left.

Absolute robbery right there.

Miss that guy, a great regular season goalie, and also in first two rounds '17.

The opportunity doesn't present itself if Vegas is playing better. Sure, Vegas controlled a lot of the play, but Pittsburgh had better chances and they buried.
